Our team forms the backbone of our business; each member plays a vital role in building and maintaining our reputation as one of Ireland’s leading property development companies.
Patrick (Paddy) Kelly – Chairman
Paddy has over 40 years experience in property development in Ireland and the UK. His philosophy is one of partnership for each individual project. Why? To not only reduce the risk profile and gain access to a variety of expertise, but, according to Paddy, "to have more fun!". In 1996, Paddy became involved in the hotel industry via an investment opportunity and since then has been investing in the hospitality and services industry.
Simon Kelly
Simon has been involved in the family property and hospitality business for nearly 13 years. In addition, he has a keen interest in the TMT (technology, media and telecommunications) sector. He is also a leading investor and Director of The Biz Superstore and EMEX.
Christopher Kelly
Chris joined the family business in 2000. He has managed a number of projects including Smithfield Market, Gallery Quay and Carrickmines Manor. Chris specialises in project management, planning, design and community relations. He has an honours degree in business studies and an honours diploma in human resource management.
John Kelly
John joined the company in September 2006. His key goal for his initial 12 months is to develop a broad understanding of all the diverse businesses the company is actively involved in. His main focus will be on the rental properties that the family has a stake in. John is also involved in the philanthropic aspect of the family business in Uganda, South Africa and Ireland.
Gillian Downes
Gillian is a chartered certified accountant and joined Redquartz in October 2007 to oversee the accounting team. She has worked in practice for 12 years.
Deborah Fitzpatrick
Deborah joined Redquartz in 2006 to work on Reception. Prior to joining Redquartz she worked for a number of years in the USA. Upon returning to Ireland she worked as an Office Administrator with Innovative Print Solutions in Ballymount, Dublin. Most recently she worked as restaurant manager at the Phoenix Bistro in Dublin's Millennium Quarter.
Fiona Garvey
Fiona is a chartered certified accountant. She joined the team at Redquartz in 2004. Fiona worked in practice for two years, and prior to that worked as a manager in Marks & Spencer Ireland for five years.
Beatrice Glynn
Beatrice joined Redquartz in 2001 from Brown Thomas where she was BT’s IT trainer. Prior to this role in Brown Thomas, Beatrice held a number of positions with the company, including working with David Kelly for over four years in an operations support position.
Michael Hanlon
Michael leads the expanding Redquartz activities in the U.S. market. Michael has spent his career in the construction, real estate, hospitality and infrastructure sectors. Michael led a $700 million road and infrastructure development project in the Perimeter area of Atlanta. Michael advised the Cowart/Berkow Property Group on their Atlanta real estate development activities including their investment in the St. Regis Hotel, which is under construction on West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead. Michael is expanding the Redquartz model of building strong partnerships with industry leaders to leverage value creation for shareholders and partners in each of the Redquartz projects. Michael was recently invited by the Governor of Georgia to Participate in the State Regional Leaders Program. Michael is a business graduate from the University of Tampa.
Cecear Kandiwa
Cecear joined our Accounts Department in August 2007 from PrintB.ie Ltd where he worked as an Accounts Manager/Bookkeeper. Prior to PrintB.ie, Cecear worked as a Junior Auditor for Lowry & Associates Chartered Accountants, Dublin. Cecear is part-qualified ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Student.
Steve Keaveney
Steve is a partner in the Redquartz U.S. business. Steve founded his first business in Dublin in 1989 and exited through a successful trade sale. Steve has been active in corporate finance activities in the U.S. and Europe. He has built and sold a number of businesses in based both in Dublin and the U.S. in both the Real Estate and TMT space. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant having worked with Deloitte in New York City. He holds a BA in Accounting from Villanova University and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University.
David Kelly
David joined the Redquartz team in 2000, having met the Kelly family through a previous role in Chartbusters video store chain in 1998. He has extensive experience in property development. David is a chartered accountant and has worked with KPMG and the Brown Thomas Group before joining Redquartz.
David Knowles
David joined Redquartz from Brown Thomas in 2001. He was Cash Office Manager for the Dublin store. He was also responsible for the operation and maintenance of the store’s IT system, and for certain administration functions for the Group Buying Office. David was with Brown Thomas and Switzer Group for thrity-three years and currently holds responsibility for the administration function in Redquartz.
Lillian Kwenda
Prior to joining Redquartz, Lillian worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Groups Department of the PREM Group, having joined as a Business Centre Coordinator in March 2001. She has over fifteen years secretarial and administration experience, having also worked as a Senior Secretary in the Computer Science Department at the National University of Science & Technology, Zimbabwe before her move to Ireland.
Vanessa Murphy
Vanessa joined Redquartz in 2005 as project manager. She has extensive experience in marketing and business development having held senior positions in Davy Stockbrokers and JCDecaux Outdoor Media. She is involved in a number of property developments on behalf of Redquartz with special emphasis on Pragelato Ski Resort (Italy), Lisloughery Lodge, Co. Mayo, Sarasota Bayside (Florida) and Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort currently underway in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. Vanessa also holds a BA Honours degree from Trinity College, Dublin.
